HILLARD BLOOM SHELLFISH
As part of the Steel Point redevelopment effort, Bloom Shellfish will be relocating from its present location on Bridgeport Harbor to the nearby Pequonnock River waterfront. TPA has worked with the City of Bridgeport and Bloom Shellfish to design and permit an efficient, modern facility that satisfies Bloom operational requirements and maintains a traditional waterfront use on Bridgeport’s shoreline. TPA has arranged for hydrographic and upland surveys and has coordinated with an environmental consultant to incorporate remediation activities into the proposed site plan. In addition, TPA has prepared application for and obtained the necessary waterfront structures permits from the Connecticut DEP and US Army Corps of Engineers. TPA worked with City agencies and the Connecticut DOT on technical reviews, and obtained site plan approval from the Planning and Zoning Commission. TPA coordinated with ConnDOT to obtain land lease and satisfy condition for obtaining an encroachment permit for work below I-95.
